EHF Expert Carlos Prieto: 'A Fantastic Event is Taking Place in Türkiye'
The 3rd International Mini Handball Seminar, jointly organized by the Turkish Handball Federation (THF) and the European Handball Federation (EHF), is underway at the Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sevim Handball Hall in Ankara. The seminar, which will conclude on September 3, has drawn strong participation, with 63 coaches in attendance.
Among the instructors is EHF Expert Carlos Prieto, who shared his impressions of the event:
“I believe this is a fantastic organization. Above all, the children gain new experiences through this initiative. Coaches coming from different regions have the opportunity to work together, exchange knowledge, and acquire new insights. This is highly valuable both for the children’s development and for the growth of handball as a sport. The European Handball Federation places great importance on such projects and fully supports them. This support is crucial for taking handball to higher levels.”

During the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Celal Gençoğlu, Chairman of the THF Education Board, emphasized the Federation’s commitment to advancing coach education:
“The Turkish Handball Federation prioritizes coach education. Through our protocol with the European Handball Federation, we provide training aligned with international standards. In this seminar, expert instructors are sharing their knowledge and experience. Our goal is to guide coaches in ensuring long-term athlete development, from grassroots to elite levels, while also nurturing athletes’ emotional intelligence. The strong participation in this program makes us very proud.”
