Oliver Roy Camino Bids Farewell to Beşiktaş After Double Triumph, to Focus Solely on Turkish National Team

Oliver Roy Camino, head coach of both the Turkish Men's National Handball Team and Beşiktaş, has officially ended his tenure with the Istanbul club and will now dedicate his full attention to the national team.

The Spanish coach took charge of his final match with Beşiktaş in the season-ending encounter against Nilüfer Belediyespor, bringing his successful spell at the club to a close.

During the 2025–26 season, Camino guided Beşiktaş to an impressive domestic double, winning both the Ardventure Men's Handball Super League title and the HDI Sigorta THF 50th Anniversary Federation Cup. The club narrowly missed out on a clean sweep, losing the Turkish Super Cup to Nilüfer Belediyespor in a dramatic penalty shootout.

With the season now concluded, Oliver Roy Camino's role at Beşiktaş has officially come to an end. Moving forward, he will focus exclusively on his responsibilities as head coach of the Turkey Men's National Handball Team, where he will continue working toward the development and success of Turkish handball on the international stage.

Camino leaves Beşiktaş after a memorable campaign, departing with two major trophies and adding another successful chapter to the club's rich handball history.
